Our Competition and Festival Team Session is an advanced, high-energy class designed for students who are ready to take their performance training to the next level. Held every Thursday, this specialised session focuses on learning challenging pieces created specifically for festivals, competitions, and performance opportunities throughout the year. These competitions include pieces in Song & Dance, Musical theatre, Lyrical, Acro, Ballet, Modern, Commercial and many more

This class is open to all students via audition, we welcome anyone who would like to be considered to do so. This ensures that everyone within the group is at a similar level and can thrive in a focused, fast-paced environment. From time to time, our teaching team may also invite students who show the skill, commitment, and readiness needed to take on more advanced work.

We also welcome external applicants to audition for the team. Whether you currently train with us or are wanting to start competing nationally with an established team, we’re excited to meet passionate performers who are eager to push themselves artistically.

Being part of our Competition and Festival Team offers experiences that go far beyond weekly training. Throughout the year, students have the chance to perform at venues across the country, gaining confidence, adaptability, and a true understanding of what it means to perform in a variety of professional spaces.
These events also give our young performers the opportunity to network with like-minded students from other schools and regions. Meeting new people who share the same passion helps them build friendships, broaden their outlook, and feel part of a wider performing arts community.
Competitions and festivals frequently include industry-experienced judges, guest teachers, and masterclass opportunities, allowing students to learn from professionals who work at the highest levels of the performing arts world. Their feedback, guidance, and encouragement can be incredibly inspiring—not only improving technique, but helping students understand what’s expected in the industry today.

Timetable
Q: Who can audition for the Competition & Festival Team?
A: The session is open to all current students via audition, and we occasionally invite students we believe are ready for this level. External applicants are also welcome to audition. All participants must demonstrate the skills and commitment required for advanced performance training.

Q: Do I need prior competition or festival experience?
A: No prior experience is required. Our auditions focus on potential, technique, and performance ability. The class is designed to help students develop skills for festivals and competitions, even if they haven’t participated before.

Q: How often does the team rehearse and perform?
A: The main session is held weekly on Thursdays. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled before competitions or festivals to polish pieces. Performance dates are shared in advance so students and families can plan ahead.

Q: Is there an additional cost for joining the team?
A: There will be additional fees for competition entry, costumes, or travel to events. These costs will be communicated clearly ahead of time. There is also a weekly charge for the sessions tuition

A: Auditions usually involve performing a short prepared monologue, song and a dance auditioin
